Burglary: how does it happen and how to prevent it with SKYDAS security doors?
In this video you will see how easy the burglars can pick the unsecure locks, unprotected windows, plastic, aluminum, wooden doors or even the reinforced doors. Therefore we created security doors SKYDAS. Their construction was created applying the knowledge of all possible ways and methods of burglary. Our doors were tested and approved by the laboratory IFT Rosenheim, Germany.
About us
UAB "Plieninis skydas" has more than ten-year experience in manufacturing of security and entrance doors. Upon establishing the company, the annual turnover was only EUR 18,000; in 2008 it grew up to EUR 5,400,000. The export share in the turnover is constantly growing: starting from 20% of total turnover in 2008, to more than 50% in 2010 and 2011.
The company is located in Vilnius and has around 100 employees. The manufacturing facility and administration is located at Kirtimų str. 57A, and the main showroom is at Kalvarijų str. 77.
Throughout our industrial practice, we have been investing into the development of our manufacturing facility, obtaining new equipment, following world trends of manufacturing security doors, and applying new scientific inventions in production. All our employees are highly qualified. Remigijus Guobys, Director of Production, is a MSc in mechanical engineering and is currently studying for PhD. Nine other employees of the company also have a scientific degree.
In order to ensure the quality of our products, we test the properties of the doors only in notified laboratories and therefore, most tests are carried out abroad; usually in Ift Rosenheim, Germany, one of the most authoritative scientific research laboratories.
In order to meet every customer’s needs, we have created a wide variety of door models – from “armoured” doors ensuring basic safety to especially safe security doors and fire resistant doors. Moreover, we were the first in Lithuania to produce, test in a notified laboratory, and introduce in the market bullet-proof doors.
As the demand for our manufactured doors is increasing, during the last several years, we have established our trading centres almost in every Lithuanian town, and recently we have been especially focusing on the development of export. Our products are already being exported to Great Britain, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Island, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, etc.
